BA Essentials
ISEB Certificate in Business Analysis Essentials
Course Overview

Our Business Analysis Essentials course provides you with the skills you need to become an effective business analyst. This is a Practitioner Level Business Analysis qualification accredited and validated by the Information Systems Examination board (ISEB) of the British Computer Society (BCS).
Course sessions are highly practical discussions of key topics based around case studies. You will work in small groups on our instructive and entertaining case study, Valentinos, practising all the business analysis techniques we teach. You will gain the ability to investigate, analyse and model business systems. You will learn how to identify business improvements through gap analysis. Important change management techniques such as stakeholder analysis are explored. You will suggest business improvements and develop these into a Business Case to justify the suggested IT projects. We explore the link between business analysis and project management with particular emphasis on the Prince 2 project initiation.
All exam fees, course materials, refreshments and lunches are included in the course price. We also provide the BCS book "Business Analysis" by Don Yeates and Debra Paul. We send you this in advance and provide directed pre-reading.
Exams may be taken either at the end of the course or, if you feel you need more time, arranged with you at a later date. The exam price (£120 + VAT) is included in the course fee - this will be deducted if the exam is not required. We supply you with three sample exams (and suggested answers for each) so you will be extremely well prepared for the ISEB Business Analysis Essentials examination.
