Dr MIKE GOODLAND
Dr Mike Goodland has been working in IT for more than 20 years as a business analyst, consultant, trainer, author and university lecturer. He was instrumental in the development of business analysis and systems development methods for the UK government and his books on that method (SSADM) have sold more than 40,000 copies.
Mike has developed courses in business analysis that have been sold to many organisations (indeed you may find that other ISEB course providers are using our materials under licence) and given hundreds of courses on this and related areas. He also has considerable practical experience through working as a consultant on many key strategic projects. Coupled with his academic and teaching experience, this ensures that as a tutor you are getting someone whose knowledge is ‘second to none’.
Richard Johnson
ED GOLDSTRAW
Ed has spent many years working on computer systems in different parts of the world. Having started as an accountant he moved into installing financial systems then diversified into industries as varied as teleselling and estate agency before specialising for a while in Enterprise Resource Planning systems for engineering and aircraft maintenance. This involved system modifications, requirements gathering, stakeholder management, data conversion etc.
He has devised courses for and trained about 1,000 people and regularly takes new qualifications to keep up to date with his fields of interest. These have included an M. Sc, in Information Systems, PRINCE 2TM Practitioners and the Business Analysis diplomas. He has recently joined Metadata after spending 8 years in China and Spain and is also a part/time IT lecturer at Kingston University.
Mike Eckersley
Mike is a seasoned Business Analyst with over 30 years broad based experience across multiple industries. He spent the first part of his career in Retail Banking, specialising in Credit Risk & Product Management, and was heavily involved in numerous change initiatives, before moving into the Information Systems domain in the early 90′s. Since then he has worked predominantly as a Business & Systems Analyst managing change at the interface between the Business & IT domains.
He has a particular interest in identifying the linkages & integration points between Industry Standard Frameworks & Methods, he enjoys translating complex technology concepts into formats that both business and technical people can readily understand. Mike is a Chartered Engineer, holds a 1st Class Honours degree in Computing & Psychology, an ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis, and OMG certifications in Business Process Management.
Tim Atkinson
Tim has been working in IT for 27 years. A chemistry graduate with a Masters in IT, Tim has held a wide variety of roles, in a diverse set of sectors. Tim became the first person in the
Tim’s early career was as a Business Analyst, moving into Project and Programme Management roles and then as IT Director and CIO. Tim is now an independent IT consultant and Interim Manager working with a wide network of small, medium and large companies advising on IT at strategic levels, coupled with strong turnaround experience and programme delivery.
Tim’s wide and current experience ensures that as a course tutor his training is both comprehensive and enriched by numerous examples of real-life situations and case studies.
