Privacy Policies
Metadata Privacy Policy
Metadata Training (Metadata Ltd) is aware that it receives personal information concerning individuals and small companies. We collect and store company and individual names, addresses, email addresses and phone numbers. These are all visible to Metadata staff.
To ensure that the privacy of our customers and contacts is respected we adopt the following policies.
- We never sell any information about our customers and contacts.
- We never give out email addresses without specific consent. To achieve this we often use the “blind copy” technique when sending out emails to groups. This can mean that some of our sent emails end up in people’s “junk” or” spam” mailboxes but it does ensure privacy.
- We never disclose people’s personal addresses or telephone numbers.
- We never disclose any financial information about individuals or companies except to our auditors in the course of their work.
- If people or companies ask to be removed from our email address book, we comply with the request without question.
- We do not store any data relating to credit, debit or charge cards. If payment is taken by a card the details are entered in PayPal’s “Virtual Terminal” for that transaction only.
- People’s names are only disclosed to other people on our records when they attend a course together.

Payment, Cancellation and Refund Policy
Courses and exam fees are payable in advance and should be paid at least a week prior to each course. All prices quoted exclude VAT. VAT at the prevailing rate (currently 20 %) is added to all invoices and is payable as part of the debt to Metadata.
Bank transfer is the most efficient and cheapest form of making payment.
Metadata endeavours to run all courses that we advertise. However, if there are less than four people due to attend a course we reserve the right to cancel the course giving a minimum of a week’s notice. In the event of cancellation customers can ask for a full refund or to attend another course. The choice is entirely with the customer.
If a customer cancels attending a course a week before the course they can ask for and receive a full refund or book on another course, as the customer wishes.
If a customer cancels attending a course between seven and two days before a course they must book to attend another course or pay a cancellation fee of £100 plus VAT.
If a customer cancels a course less than forty-eight hours before a course is due to start (or fails to attend a course without informing Metadata) then a cancellation fee of half of the course cost including VAT will be paid.
