About Metadata
Metadata Ltd was established in 1988 to offer Business Analysis, Systems Design and Project Management training. Our portfolio has expanded to include training in Presentation Skills and expert coaching and consultancy in Business Analysis, Programme & Project Management and Public Speaking.
To cater for those who do not want to take time off work many of our courses are scheduled at week-ends.
Company History
Dr Mike Goodland founded the company in 1988 and it quickly became a market leader in provision of Systems Analysis, Design and Project Management training. In 1995 Mike co-wrote an SSADM book which became one of the leading texts for the methodology. He went on to design and run many very successful courses in SSADM. Building on this success, the Metadata approach was used in designing and running equally successful PRINCE2™ training courses.
Owing to demand, Metadata has expanded its core personnel with Richard Johnson and Siobhan O'Connell joining Mike to develop the portfolio of product offerings and add extensive practical experience of applying business analysis and project management methodologies in the public and private sectors. Today the Business Analysis courses and examinations we offer reflect current best practice (including DSDM, Agile, CMMI and UML) and meet the rigorous standards of the British Computer Society.
The most recent addition to our portfolio of products is training in Presentation Skills. Richard Johnson, a Director of the College of Public Speaking and a highly regarded presenter, takes the leading role in the design and delivery of these courses. Metadata sees great synergy between the traditional IS focus on the technical aspects of Business Analysis and the growing importance of effective communication in today's highly competitve environment.
Our clients range from FTSE100 companies to individuals seeking to further their career by developing their skills and acquiring professional qualifications.
